Today is an important day in America. Those of us who still have a sense of right and wrong and of honor and integrity need to stand up, speak out, and show respect for our military veterans. No one has sacrificed so much so that others who wanted to be free would have that opportunity.I passionately support our troops and honor our veterans. That is why dishonoring our soldiers is one of the few things that will send me into a verbal tirade. That is why I think John Kerry is, on the evolutionary ladder, one step below pond scum.
Support our veterans and soldiers. If you see them, thank them and tell them how much you appreciate them. They can't read your mind. You can't imagine how encouraging and uplifting one small compliment can be. If you can, do something nice for them and/or their family. Send a thank you card, a gift basket, a gift card, etc. They deserve more than we can ever give them.
