Success in Iraq means less coverage by media

Newsbusters points out how TV coverage of the war in Iraq has shriviled in direct proportion to the positive developments in that country. Without a negative storyline to cast the war as a "miserable failure" and borrow the Democrat's mantra of "the President's failed policy in Iraq" the media finds other things to target in their campaign to paint the nation in a negative light.

Showing success in Iraq would embarass Democrats who have staked their political careers on U.S. failure in that country. If major television and print coverage were to show how the U.S. military working together with Iraqis have destroyed nearly all of the al Qaeda in Iraq it would present the Democrats with the bothersome chore of explaining their predictions of doom and gloom for U.S. efforts in that country.
