UF Student tells Police "You didn't do anything wrong"

OCALA.com has a post up from the Gainsville Sun citing an incident report given by Police detailing events surrounding the Tasering of Andrew Meyer, the University of Florida journalism student. Meyer who disrupted Senator John Kerry's campus forum on Monday told University Police, "You didn't do anything wrong" according to the report.

Police say that Meyer remained quiet as he was escorted downstairs from the auditorium by officers but began screaming and yelling whenever he saw cameras present. The report is written from the perspective of eight different officers who were present on Monday afternoon when Meyer was arrested for disrupting a campus forum with the junior Senator from Massachussetts and for struggling with Police.

Arresting officer Nicole Mallo wrote that Meyer would resist Police only when cameras were present. Officer Malo who rode in the Police cruiser with Meyer on the way to his booking reported that Meyer said, "I am not mad at you guys, you didn't do anything wrong, you were just trying to do your job". In her report Mallo writes that at one point Meyer asked if cameras would be present at the jail.

One more opportunity for Meyer to appear on YouTube I suppose.
